CiteCheck checks the citations in legal drafts, using automated AI processing. You can paste a draft or upload documents. We verify the case citations and statutory references they contain against our case-law sources, flag citations we cannot verify or that appear invented, map references to repealed codes to their current equivalents, and — for uploaded documents — retrieve authorities relevant to the legal issues we identify.

Document scoring, which produces a 0–100 score with clause-level findings and suggested fixes, also remains available.

By creating an account, starting a guest session, or submitting a draft or document for analysis, you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy.

CiteCheck's output is informational only. It is not legal advice, does not create a lawyer–client relationship, and is no substitute for review by a qualified advocate. AI analysis can be incomplete or wrong. For matters that affect your rights, consult a lawyer — you can reach one through CounselGrid.

• Only submit drafts or documents you have the right to send for analysis, including where they contain other people's personal data. This applies to text you paste as much as to files you upload.
• Do not upload malware, attempt to disrupt the service, probe its security, or circumvent free-tier limits (for example by cycling guest sessions).
• Keep your account credentials confidential.

Free accounts include a monthly quota of checks; guests get a limited trial. Different operations consume different numbers of checks — a pasted draft costs less than a document bundle, and the cost is shown before you run one. Paid options (pay-as-you-go credits, packs, and monthly/yearly plans) are one-time purchases processed by Razorpay — there is no auto-renewal. If a check fails for reasons on our side, the consumed checks or credits are automatically refunded to your quota or balance. Payments for completed checks are non-refundable. Purchased credits expire per the validity shown at purchase; unused allowance does not roll over.

Uploaded documents are auto-deleted within 90 days. Text you paste for a citation check is not stored as a document, though the result of the check is cached — the Privacy Policy explains how. You can delete all your data and your account at any time from that page. Deleting your account forfeits remaining credits and any active plan.

We aim for high availability but the service is provided "as is" without uptime guarantees. We may change features, quotas, or pricing; changes apply prospectively and never to purchases already made.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CounselGrid's total liability arising out of your use of CiteCheck is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim. We are not liable for decisions made in reliance on automated analysis output.
